The Mendem Foundation’s Social Development Program aims to address critical issues such as poverty, lack of access to quality education and healthcare, inadequate infrastructure, gender inequality, and environmental sustainability.

The Mendem Foundation Social Development Program aims to address critical issues such as poverty, lack of access to education or quality healthcare, poor infrastructure, gender bias, and environmental unsustainability. Its primary objective is to support and empower disadvantaged communities in Africa by providing them with the necessary resources to improve their living conditions and achieve long-term development goals.

In 2021 and 2022, our Social Development

The program’s main objective was to address the challenging living conditions of the inhabitants at the St. Joseph Orphanage. Due to poor housing and hygiene issues, the children and surrounding communities were living in substandard conditions. Additionally, there was a persistent shortage of clean water. The program aimed to improve the lives of the children and the surrounding communities by creating a safer and healthier environment. So far, we have constructed a functional kitchen, drainage, and laundry room. However, we are still searching for a solution to the water crisis. The well that was dug only supplied water for a short period before drying up. Through collaborations and generous contributions, the program aims to continue creating a safer and healthier environment for the orphans, ensuring a better quality of life for them and the surrounding communities.
